    • William. This is, I believe, Sir William Mallory of Bishop Auckland, knt., whose effects Philip Mallory of Norton, clerk, administered to on 26th Oct. 1643. (Durham Registry). He was a captain in the army, and was knighted by Charles I. on Feb. 1st, 1642-3. At the time of his decease he was clerk of the County Courts at Durham under Bishop Morton.
